Textile Art
When creating textile pieces the first step is by deconstructing donated materials. Often working with old gowns and ties, many of which are made of satin & silks. I begin to blend colors and textures by hand-stitching & machine sewing. Creating spirals and eccentric circles. Once complete each work is mounted & stitched in panel sections to free hang inside or outside for environmental installation. Colors and nature are my inspiration.
